================================================ Subject: stale cookie From: "Joe Chaffin" To: Date: Mon 8 Jul 2002 01:34:48 EDT ================================================ good question.......and scott, sure, I'll give ya my opinions on Creed's musical evolutions..... The first Album, "my own prison," was more exploration and experimentation by the band, especially Stapp, as he found his voice.....you hear all the long notes, like in "torn," showing off his vocal longevity more than range. Meanwhile, Tremonti's guitars on that album were fairly simplistic, and on songs like "unforgiven," you hear the influence bands like Metallica had on his musical molding.....on Human Clay, you hear their individual talents growing: Scott extends his range and his vocal melodies away from predictable patterns, more dynamics on drums and guitar solos show off Mark's ever-growing comfort on being the only chord instrument.....and now, on Weathered, they're all comfortable with their sound, they have a huge worldwide fanbase, and I see them only growing from here.....Scott has never ceased to write about his life, his spirituality, and he always ends his albums with a song about world peace and God (excluding the hidden track on Human Clay). Whew, there ya go Scott, feel free to email me anytime about music, bro! Joe To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
