I don't understand why they're so uptight about some in-fighting. I've seen just as much on-topic casual conversation here as I've seen flame wars but even if the scales tipped in the direction of flame wars, who died and made Wind-Up the guardians of good taste on the Internet? I'm thinking of submitting a proposal to alt.test for a creed usenet group (alt.music.creed would likely be the name of it) and folks, if you really want to see the $h1t fly, see what happens when you start flaming on the most unpoliced corner of cyberspace. I am looking forward to migrating permanently to Debbi's server because I think the conversation will be a lot more real and people will have to LOOK for it. It's not going to be populated by any ID10T who can type creed.com, it's going to be something that people who know one or two things about the Internet will have to seek out. That alone will bring the mean IQ of the group up a whole lot of points, I think. Plus, I'm going to have a great time working with Debbi and Scott to make sure that the list remains a reliable, uncensored and level playing field for discussion on anything by people who share the common thread of being Creed fans. Wind-Up has made it pretty clear that they don't really care about their fans and ironically enough it appears that a couple of the very people they were trying to silence are the ones who care enough about the list to give of their time, expertise, bandwidth, &c. to pick up the ball that they have dropped. Life isn't always happy and agreeable. I don't know what they thought when they started the list.... > I can't say I blame Wind Up for their decision, seeing what > the list has deteriorated into in the last year or two. > > Tara To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
