================================================ Subject: creed bashing From: "Brian T Hayden" To: Date: Mon 17 Jun 2002 00:00:47 -0700 ================================================ Im new on here but there are a couple of topics i would like to mention. First of all, people who bash creed, especially ones that ive seen go to all the trouble to join some group or something on the internet JUST TO DO IT..........GET A LIFE im tired of here and there stapp sucks tremontis not any good hes not vreative at all...grow up live your own life and find your own calling. scott stapp is an incredibly talented lyricist and if you actually look at what he is singing and try to read between the lines a little bit im sure you will realize his messages. Mark tremonti is an incredible guitarist as well. the hardest thing to do is have a talent for soloing and NOT use it to fit the band. his phrasing and style are actually quite fresh and creative, despite popular groans about his "lackluster performance". and MOST importantly lets not forget scott phillips, probably the most overlooked and under-noticed drummer out there. hes in my top five for drummers of the day.. and now my other topic....weathered...good album or no??..........yes..INCREDIBLE album. the entire cd is a descrescendo, that is, it slows down, intensity speaking, for the whole cd. it is not a cd to listen to, it is a cd to EXPERIENCE. it takes you on a trip, from the impersonal relationships and no-name no-face killings in bullets to the desire for caring relationships throughout in lullabye, and back to the explosion in whos got my back? and weathered....aaaaaahhhh cant get enough. musically speaking this album BELONGS to mark tremonti. powerful riff creating, great and creative riffs this man is absolutely unbelievable. and while the album is a powerful reminder of the loss of brian marshall, you have to respect that tremonti recorded all the bass as well. (easily noticeable as it lacks greatly in the creativity of marshall, but admirable none the less)Phillips is at his best once again, and stapp ive already discussed. so, in conclusion, i love creed. every song every style every word every note, no matter what anyone says it will not change. the next album they put out i will be at the record store that day once again. dont forget where these guys came from people. they are still the men who put out my own prison. dont look at them as each individual album. look at them as evolving human beings like the rest of us who experience life. when you listen to a song try to think about what they think, why this song is this way...so on. dont just listen understand it on a deeper level and i guarantee you your love of creed will grow as well as your love of music...if you made it all the way through this thank you, im done.
