I also read on MTV.com that Scott said that every little image has a significant meaning. That's baffling! I mean, how can we really know what it all means? Like what's with the boat? Its extremely fascinating. I've been on some high peaks myself, its awesome (up in Scotland), but I'm terrified of heights, so I won't go quite as close to the edge as Scott does! Also, like you, the song had a deeply personal meaning for me. Isn't it great how the members of Creed can appeal to such a wide audience? The way the video spoke to me was that sometimes life is tough and you find yourself on the edge with the earth crumbling beneath you. A person can find some hope through someone else, and then that person moves on. I like at the end of the video where he's standing at the end of a long stone tower, overlooking the wonderful view of the dessert and the sky. I don't know if you've ever been on top of a high peak like that... but man it's the most peaceful feeling. So of course the end of the video made me think of my experience and translated, for me, that he's reviewing the whole situation and coming to peace with it. Surrealism lends itself to endless interpretation. I can study that type of art for hours. That's another great thing about this video... it'll be a long time before I'm bored with it because of its surrealist elements.
