get any what?  I'm doing just fine in life, but my position is akin to winning the lottery.  it's got almost nothing to do with "putting my mind to it" and everything to do with being in the right place at the right time.  And that's the norm.  There are musicians all over the planet that are incredibly talented and work VERY hard.  Ones that work harder than Scott Philips and are more talented than he is.  The vast majority will never be able to make a living from their music.  Try selling them your bullshit and see what their reaction is.
