It's like fine art, the interpretation is left to the viewer/listener. So really, there are no wrong answers... I like that because it lets everyone explore and take from the art (in this case Creed lyrics) what meaning is right for themself. So... since you're really probably looking for opinions, I'll give you my spin of the lyric... he feels carefree when he is with a special someone. He feels free to be himself. For me, the "I believe" in the lyric means something deeply personal... like a love so deep and profound it's amazing but yeah "I believe" it's happening that I feel this way. Just my 2 cents worth *smiles* Deb >Date: Mon, 20 May 2002 17:46:55 +0100 >From: jason walsh >Subject: My Sacrifice Lyrics - the meaning > >Hi all, > Just joined the site so still to get into it fully but i have a question > re My Sacrifice that's causing a bit of a disagreement between me and my > girlfriend. > It's nothing too major - and i'm not looking too deeply into the lyrics > or anything - i just think i'm right and she thinks she is. Or does it mean -"when i'm with you you make me feel free > and i believe that i'm careless because you make me feel so free"? > Only a slight difference and it does make a difference depending how you > interpret it. > If ANYONE knows the true interpretation i'd be grateful as it's costing > me a small fortune in headache tablets and ear plugs!! > Thanks for you help in sorting this out and i hope i haven't scared you > all with the question!
