Just a couple of thoughts:  Scott Stapp is not overweight, he exercises regularly and evidently eats properly (I say it is evident by looking at him--I have no other source.)  He has a charitable foundation benefitting little children.  He has sole custody of his son, Jagger.  He did not have a big long drawn out public divorce and he has never spoken a negative word against Hilaree in public.  He has mended emotional fences with his estranged parents (the ones who actually raised him.)  He has successfully found a way to overcome his tumultuous past.  He speaks negatively nor bitterly about noone--not even those (like Fred Durst) who choose to try to embarrass and belittle him.  He always tries to put on the most exciting, passionate shows possible--giving the fans their money's worth.  That's what makes him Scott Stapp, the composer of the songs that you and I love to listen to.

Now maybe he does have an affinity for the immature, i.e. fart machines.  Maybe he cannot make the time (of course, no one ever thinks that maybe he is just dog tired or has had a bad day or any miriad of other HUMANLY possible reasons) for photo ops with every single fan who comes to a concert and manages to somehow worm his or her way backstage.  Maybe he is not a star orator under pressure.  Maybe some people think he is a hypocrite for not openly drinking alcohol or doing any type of drugs in an attempt to be a  better role model for today's youth.  But you know what?  He says his writing is not inspired by happy times, with the exceptions of WAWO and Lullaby.  He says that the self-doubt, the depression, the fear, whatever negative that they are going through in their lives is just another song that they are going to write.  Somehow they always find a way out.  They escape the torments.  Who knows how much effort he actually puts into some regimine to keep his vocal cords healthy and his voice adequate.  The bottom line is he (and Mark and Flip) has inspired all of us to listen to his music.  He (and M & F) has inspired some of us enough to go to the Creed website and join a Creed Discussion List.  He is not a god.  He is not a bad person.   He is not a prick.  He is just a human being.
