================================================ Subject: Scott's Accident From: "Moore" To: Date: Thu 2 May 2002 15:44:48 -0400 ================================================ I obsessed like mad ever since I heard about it and combed the websites for info, and here is what the "truth" seems to be to me. The accident, over 10 days ago, at first seemed like "nothing". But he had in fact sustained a "bulging disc" in his neck, the discomfort does not surface until later. They were UNDERSTANDABLY reluctant to CANCEL ALL THOSE CONCERTS, thinking of how much money and inconvenience etc was involved, they HOPED it would improve or not be that serious, but as the days went by approaching 4/26, it became apparent that his injury was too severe to allow all that wonderful physical stuff that he does in concert. Because the information was so "hush hush" (because no one really understood what was happening, not Scott himself, I imagine) it LOOKS like they were being "dishonest" but THAT IS NOT THE CASE. I read up on bulging discs on the Internet (I told you I'm a fan!) and it's perfectly in accord with how these things work, they can easily result from a not-so-big impact--btw I understand he was moving at 25 mph and she hit him at 60 mph, so that would make the force he took 35 mph, but WHATEVER, it was enough to rattle his neck vertebrae and I just hope he can HEAL and live to HEADBANG another day, because it is an AWESOME SITE TO BEHOLD, I'm telling you! Love to all, because Stapp said to do it, but sometimes the "bullet" idea is more tempting!
