Though in my case it was the recent death of my husband. -----Original Message----- From: Rebecca Sweet [mailto:Munchkin247@CS.COM] Sent: Wednesday, April 24, 2002 1:11 PM To: CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM Subject: One Last Breath Here's my interpretation of "One Last Breath", along with the reason it moves me so much: The speaker has come to a point in his life where he feels like his world is caving in and that anything he tries to do to stop it will not help. He is crying out to closest friend to hold him in his despair because he feels helpless and can't escape. He has tried his best but can't go on anymore because he has lost his own strength. He is considering giving up entirely on life for good because it seems like his only way out. The only thing keeping him from turning this consideration into reality is the idea that there may be something left for him in the future, along with something left for him and his friend.
