About the use of the word GD in What’s This Life For, I think the song has more meaning to them (Stapp/Tremonti) with the word in it – it’s a quote from the suicide note. I personally think that the song is much stronger with it. There’s no need to go hyper over the use of that word – it’s a song from their heart, for themselves. Besides, What’s This Life For is one of their best songs. The thing about the song that I like the most is, it has saved a lot of people, from committing suicide. I guess the word included in the lyrics was positive. If the added expression steered those depressed about life from ending their lives... I enjoyed both the edited version and the version that made it to the album. I felt the song was great, with or without the usage of the words. But I only listened to the song for its musical qualities..... Maybe someone that was down with life was saved by the phrase though. Quoted from Henry Cortez: “the amount of negitivity shown towards "fellow" members. Odd due to the fact that Creed is (in my opinion) a very positive band.” I can’t agree more. Every second post is negative towards other members of this list. Aren’t we all buddies now? Bitter communications always seem to detour those from the original topic. Also, they are not of any value, to explore the topic. Quoted from Debbie: “Creed has a fan base that surpasses others in what way? Immaturity? Probably Whining? Possibly. Try to be specific.” I think Henry means in number. It was obvious that Henry meant in popularity. Quoted from Keith P Meir: “Hey, what a GREAT idea! Let's all vote for a rather weak song as the best song of a year which is only ONE THIRD COMPLETE.” (In my opinion) “My Sacrifice” is not a strong song, not a weak song – somewhere in the middle. The songs I like from “Weathered” are Bullets, Who’s Got My Back, One Last Breath and Stand Here With Me (for the major solo). If I vote – it’d be for System of A Down “Toxicity”. I agree that it is rather early to pick song of the year yet. But about voting for "My Sacrifice", as song of the year. I would hesitate strongly. I'd cast my vote for "Weathered" being the best song off of the "Weathered" album though. After reading Mike’s post on his thoughts of Human Clay, I began to have some thought of my own about all 3 Creed album. My thoughts on “My Own Prison”. It’s without a doubt the best CD in my collection. All the songs have a common theme and flow perfectly until “Bound & Tied.” On “Human Clay”. This used to be the worst Creed album (in my opinion) – but now it’s at second place, maybe because I’m a bit sick of “Weathered”. I agree that it is their second best album. hopefully number 4 will take into account what their fans think about their musical direction. Nothing on Weathered, POD or MM. Thanks for reading.
