When comparing this cd to the previous 2 its obvious. > On Weathered you have the same Thundering Guitar riffs, the same torchered, > inspiring Lyrics, and definatley the same pounding drums....but what about > the Bass? Mark did an okay job... Mark did an EXQUISITE job. Brian was talented, no doubt. He was also expendable. No offense, but there are plenty of bass players out there who can do the job every bit as well. > it's commendable, but listen to MOP and HC > and you'll see too. Not only was Brian a part of the band, but he drove the > band. If I send you my home address would you be so kind as to roll me a nice size fatty of whatever you're smoking and send it to me? Tremonti and Stapp drive the band. They're the creative force behind it. Flip keeps the beat. He does a fantastic job of it, but that's the sum total of his contribution. Without Stapp, no more Creed. Without Tremonti, no more Creed. No more Flip? Still Creed but different. A LOT different. Call me crazy but I just didn't see a big hole left in the band when Brian left. > The songs on Weathered are good, but i cant help to wonder how much > more powerfull they would have been with Brian still in the Fold. It would still sound rushed. And it was rushed. 3 weeks to write and record? You can call it impressive if you want but *I* have to wonder how much better Weathered would have been if they just took a bit more time with it, fine-tuning it. I would just as soon have waited a couple more months and gotten a better album out of it. > I beg to > everyone who reads this, compare the first 2 cd's to Weathered and then write > me back and let me know...hopefully enough of you feel the same and we can > start a petittion to get Brian back in the band!!!! Would you be so kind as to explain to me why you feel a petition would make a difference? I could start a petition to double everyone's salary where I work and everyone would sign it. Would we all have our salaries doubled? Of course not. Why? Because some things just aren't that simple. Would it make a lot of people happy? Sure. Is it in the best interest of the company? No. Is it a reasonable expectation? No. Why? Again, some things just aren't that simple.
