================================================ Subject: Weathered basslines.. Favorite Creed songs ..etc From: "Creed Music Listener" To: Date: Wed 27 Mar 2002 21:10:18 -0500 ================================================ Thanks Dave for your take on the basslines within the Weathered album.I'm just starting to listen to the Weathered album from beginning to end. Before that, I usually only listened to Signs,Weathered, Bullets and Freedom Fighter. The other songs are getting more interesting to me now. But I had to expand my music listening a little bit with other bands first. The softer or more pop oriented Creed songs seemed too dull for me to listen to previously. Personally about the bass tracks for Weathered. I could not really distinguish much bass within the CD. Also, others have said the lines were very basic. Since you commented on liking the Weathered album and also being disappointed with the bass playing at the show. I thought that your view would be interesting and helpful to me also. About my favorite Creed songs. I would have to say that MOP is my favorite. Besides the songs inspiring me through a personal battle. I enjoyed the emotional release that the song let me feel, whenever I would sing along through the song. I also felt the song was at least good in nature. From the Human Clay album, my favorite song is "Inside Us All". The reason is that it gives me a personal feeling of peace. The song really relaxes me. From the Weathered album, I believe that I initially enjoyed Weathered the most. Other than the skin peeling line, I believe it is a great song. The song seems to be the most identifiable with their previous songs, in my view anyway. Currently I am concentrating on the song "Who's Got My Back". I concentrate mainly on the vocals. I also like to listen to the background sounds and the instrumental passages within the songs. I like a lot of low and high volume transitions through instrument playing.
