I saw Creed at the second sydney show and actually enjoyed the bass player. While Scott slowly moved around the stage and Mark simply stayed still with one foot on his foldback wedge, Brett was the only one moving around like he was actually enjoying himself. More than any of the other guys on that stage he was the only one who continually caught my eye 'cos he kept moving. The stage was big and he was the only one to take advantage of it. Also, the length between songs at times caused a massive drop in momentum.....it was more than made up for once they got going again but imagine how much more intense it would have been without the black stage and silence for ten seconds after every song. Where I come from we don't let the momentum stop once during a set.....at the very least we're maintaing it but we're always taking it up a notch. I would have thought that a band as road tested as Creed would have already figured that out. I payed $85aud to see that show and it was great, great lighting (really GREAT) good sound (except the first 3 songs) and I just love the smell of pyro in the evening!!! BUT.....it could have been a lot better. I went and saw P.O.D 3 weeks before and that was the most intense show I have ever been at. They didn't let up for a second. Music as passionate as Creed's inspires me but it looked like the guys were kinda just going through the motions......I felt inspired by Brett, not the rest of the guys. Anyway......it's just an opinion.
