Now I've seen everything.  I guess in some ways moderation is good to have.  Censorship, if not abused, has it's up-sides.  Everyone just has to accept it.

Opinions can be expressed openly in a civil manner, with little to no confrontation.  Never would I have thought I'd agree though.  Eventually the moderation will end as life continues.

Just, I wish we'd know when it would end.  Open discussion is a bit different.  Even if I don't participate as much as I could.

PS--You guys must be so bored.  :-)

This is an open letter to all Creed Listers. Please just hear me out.

Practicing censorship is not now, nor has it ever been a good idea.
Anyone with half a brain and the ability to use it would agree.
That being said, I have to side with the Ed and the mods at this point.
Hey! Don't get your shorts in a bunch, people! Let me Explain!
Every now and then, when things get out of hand someone has to take control.
Think about it: did anyone here REALLY enjoy all the flaming and nastiness?
I, for one, really didn't but found it necessary at times. Sad, but true.
Consequently, we find ourselves moderated now and though I don't like it, I understand.
Can you see where I'm coming from here?
Everybody understands the importance of free speech, but can we yell "fire!" in a crowded theater?
No, and there's a reason for that. It can do a lot of harm...and a lot has been done to this list.
So if you really want to see the atmosphere improve around here, please cooperate.
Otherwise we might never see an unmoderated forum on this list again, and that would be a shame.
Remember, if we just keep to the topic and let people express themselves, everybody wins.
Surely you can see my point. It's not a matter of trying to silence anyone, that's just nonsense.
How could anyone even think that? How could I? Simple: I was mad about the whole thing at first.
I was also totally wrong and I admit it. So let's make the best of things and keep it real, okay?
Peace!
