Well hey, its great music > isn't > it?? > Hello Vicki, Their music is a lot better than most of the newer bands. I'm glad that they got their break with the MOP album (Actually, they worked extremely hard, small clubs and a lot of fighting through the media images set) and continued through the years. A lot of newer bands have been inspired by them. I loved their first album (MOP) and played it all the way through. For their second album (HC), I listened to most of it, except for two songs. (WAWO and Wash Away Those Years). For the Weathered album, it had a lot of different things, to become used to hearing. It was more to the softer side than any of their previous albums. Plus it was their first album as a three pieced band. So my fondness of their ex-bass player's presence was hard to get used to. After putting Weathered totally away and not listening to it. I listened to other softer bands. But none of them really increased my appreciation of Creed's different style with Weathered, until I heard a band that a friend suggested. Their music led me to appreciate Creed''s softer songs more. > > As I mentioned Brett Hesla is great - well I thought so anyway! He was > having a blast u could tell! With the new moderated format and a calmer environment to discuss. Some of the older lister may return. About why Brian Marshall left the band. The only thing that is known is that he was fired. One of the additional factors, was what he commented on, during a Seattle radio interview. The comments were about the singer from Pearl Jam (A band from Seattle) and who was a better lyrics writer and singer. (Scott or Eddie).... There were other factors that led to his release from Creed. It seems to be a chain of events that distanced him from the bands chosen direction and their views on certain issues.
