================================================ Subject: Re: closing of the bulletin board From: ]\\\\[][G}{T§TÖ®]v[ To: Date: Sun 17 Mar 2002 14:51:03 -0500 ================================================ Yeah, it really sucks that Wind-Up had to finally do these things... if only all the people would have just listened to the multiple warnings, then the BB wouldn't have had the plug pulled, and the list wouldn't be on moderation (which I don't really see as a problem). I wonder if now people might start to take the warnings seriously when they are given. Actually, I doubt they will, but oh well. Anyway, for those that might be feeling somewhat lost now without the BB, I set one up on the creedlisters website for public use. It works very much the same as the one Wind-Up was supplying, and I hope that it will fill in the place until such a time as Wind-Up decides that a perminent loss of their BB isn't worth the hassle. http://www.creedlisters.com/BB will redirect you to the proper URL (it's a lot longer, therefor not as easy to remember). Unfortunately, at this exact second, there is a glitch somewhere in the setup file (I set one of the settings wrong, and am having a hell of a time finding where the setting is), and the Guest viewing of the BB is disabled... so to view posts, you will have to register and log in (but this takes seconds anyway). I'll be sure to let everyone know once I have it fixed. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can make it better, feel free to drop me a line. I'm simply trying to fill in the void that some are feeling without the official Bulletin Board around anymore. Also pass word to any of your friends that you think might want to use the Board... I'll eventually also be offering BB hosting for personal use (using the same setup as I have for this one), so if this interests you, again, just drop me a line. Smile everyone... Creed is coming back to the states... who cares if for a few weeks someone gets to preview our posts and find out details before the rest of the list, and we see a little less profanity... I'm sure things will be back to normal soon. Just relax, quick complaining about it (the more people complain, I'm sure the longer it will stay like this), and soon enough we'll have the freedom back. Is it that hard to make a post without vulgarity (as it appears that is the only posts that we're not seeing, since lots have made it through that could be considered an attack)? ¤]\[][G}{T§TÖ®]v[¤ ----- Original Message ----- From: " " To: Sent: Sunday, March 17, 2002 1:42 AM Subject: closing of the bulletin board > such a loss to creed fans....it seems like a death in the family. i hope > this list stays up now. > beckie To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
