================================================ Subject: What if From: "Sandy Carter" To: Date: Sat 16 Mar 2002 09:23:09 -0600 ================================================ Another thing: I think, that the use of 'What If?' in this context is wrong. The song was written as an answer to critics that have judged Creed. You, as a person, haven't been judged one way or the other. Asaf, you are taking these lyrics very literally, and I strongly encourage independent thinking. "What if" is my favorite Creed songs, for reasons that are personal to ME. When you sing along with this song, do you really put yourself in Creed's place, and think about the media? Just because they say those words were born of a frustration, doesn't mean we can't interpret the music to fit the many similar or not so similar situations we may relate the lyrics to. Lyrics are not meant just to be singable or regurgitated, they can translate into something very personal to many and all. Saying someone is wrong for doing this.....is very small minded in my opinion.
