You, as > a person, haven't been judged one way or the other. But I have. I've been judged by the powers that be insofar as someone else has to decide whether or not what I have to say will fit a certain definition of list-worthiness. No one, in my opinion, has that right. We're given a set of rules. We SHOULD be able to self-govern on the basis of those rules. If one or two or ten or FIFTY people can't, THEY should be dealt with because THEY are the problem. You don't moderate a mail list, you dont shut down a BBS... you find the source(s) of the problem and deal with it(them). If the store I'm shopping in apprehends a shoplifter, I'm not then asked to empy my pockets because I was in the store with the shoplifter. I'm treated as an honest and respectable patron until I PROVE myself to be otherwise. Before I post to this list I'm proverbially asked to empty my pockets and I think that really sucks.
