Got a source for this, other than your own ass? Contrary to what that ass is telling you, most of us are NOT AOL subscribers, and therefore COULDN'T listen to the whole CD before its release. What you need to clearly remember is that I have been VEHEMENTLY opposed to piracy since well before the first time I posted on this list, and if you'd bother to read through any of the archives Nightstorm has so graciously made available to all of us, you'll note my views are very consistently expressed.   >except keith of course, because he probably destroyed his mop album because scott sings goddamn on it. Wow. You really DON'T pay any attention, do you? WTLF is my personal favorite among ALL of Creed's music. >of course, burning cd's and selling them (or giving them away) is illegal, but then, they shouln't have made them that >bloody expensive. Here in holland a cd costs about 20 dollars, and I can imagine that some people just not can >afford to buy all their cd's original. That's the stupidest "logic" I've ever seen. First, you admit that you KNOW it's illegal, then you blame the record company for making you a THIEF. So, if the hard drive of your computer melted, it would be okay for you to head for the computer store and just STEAL a new one, right? After all, the manufacturer is to blame because they make them cost so damn much! Cluephone, Dan: if you can't afford something, you do without it until you CAN. Just because you can't afford it but still WANT it does NOT make it alright to STEAL it.   >the way i see it, everybody should be able to listen to music, even those who can't afford original cd's. Gee, maybe some day, some really smart person will invent a way to listen to music in ways other than the Internet. They could build a box with a speaker in it (or better yet, TWO), and then they could send out these signals that the box can receive. It could be called "RADIO", and they could make equipment so you could listen to it in your stolen car, too! >and I thought that that was what rock & roll was all about. Yeah, because EVERY musician/label wants to spend months (and a not inconsiderable amount of MONEY) putting out music for people to STEAL from them. >If creed and wind-up are really so upset by people who copy cd's, maybe they should do something about the price >of a cd. Because we all know that Creed and Wind-Up are the only ones who have any control over the price we pay for CD's. >Just like they are not making enough money already with almost a million original cd's sold in one week. I don't think >they have that much to complain about. Sure, and General Motors makes BILLIONS, so they won't mind at all if I just go STEAL myself a new Corvette.
