Hmm... lets see... copywritten content downloaded illegally from a non-Wind-Up site and burned to a CD to avoid having to purchase one in a store. No, absolutely nothing wrong with that at all. Nope. Nothing wrong with that. I think I'll pay a visit to Tower Records later and avail myself of their standing Five Finger Discount. I don't suppose they'll think it's wrong either, do you? BUT just to be a bit of the list asshole for a moment, lets refer your question to a member of the Wind-Up staff. Ed, I'm CCing you on this topic in hopes that you might shed some light on Wind-Up's viewpoint regarding the download and burning of the music that is produced by your employers. SWWWWWEEEET! Dinah, you are aware that when something is copywritten, if you get caught with illegal content on your computer or in your possession, it's called copyright infringement, also known as theft. And, last I checked, all Creed music was copyritten... the only legal releases of their music in MP3 format are the ones available on the creed.com website. ...and the version of "My Sacrifice" wasn't even MP3... it was a *.wma file. So nyah! Look it up...it's in the law books everywhere. How do YOU think Napster got dragged into the courts?? Ed, I would really appreciate a reply on this one, as it could dramatically affect not only this conversation, but the general topic of whether Wind-Up endorces or condones the illegal download of the music produced by their bands. That would be awesome, IMHO. In fact, I'd like to request that they just send me the CDs from now on so I don't even have to open up WinMX or waste on of my valuable CD-Rs.
