Do you hate them all? Or just the mother and father-in-laws? If it were me, I'd go....for about 15 minutes. I'd walk in, say hello to the extended family members that you don't normally see, then I'd say, well the kids want to spend more time with you all, but I have somewhere else to be, I'll be back to pick them up later....or something to that affect.
