================================================ Subject: Re: nit wit needs help again From: To: Date: Wed 19 Dec 2001 01:59:26 EST ================================================ Seems the holidays suck all around this year. We can feel sorry for ourselves together, K? And while I'm on the subject, does anybody mind if I ask for some advice? Oh, you do? Well tough shit. I hate my in laws. Hate them hate them hate them. I've always made a valiant effort to avoid conflict, and it's been tough. Well now I don't HAVE to keep any contact with them at all, but do so because I want to help them through their grief also. And I want to let my kids see that they're still part of daddy's family, and so on. I have other reasons too, relating to my children's future that are too complicated to get into. All of the extended family from around the country will be at my father in law's house a few days after Christmas, and they want me there. We've gone every year since I married, but it's usually just the immediate family. Is it selfish, insensitive, and/or rude of me to say that I will certainly drop my children off to spend the day but that I won't stay? I don't think I can bear being in that house with the whole family except my husband. I never would've tolerated those people if I didn't love him so much. And now I don't have anyone to blame for the stress of being there! jk. Sorry to anyone who doesn't care, and thanks to anyone with an opinion on this. Oh, and I was going to change the subject line, but I thought it was appropriate anyway! Feels kinda odd. Had to do it this way before and it seems to take most of the pleasure of xmas away. Is online shopping an option? Or would you prefer to do it in person? Mr Mungo "Don't worry.
