It's been 6 years, but I got a 99% as my final grade in the class my senior year. Numbers are my strong point (as you can tell by my writing). The funny thing, is that when I took my ACT's, I got a great score but my English score was higher than my math score. Weird. Anyway, I'm here for ya if you need it. It's this retarded thing my h.s. does which is basically a progress report with grades and comments from teachers on it. It's a major annoyance to the student body because they ALWAYS mail them the weekend something big is going on, like this weekend, where last night there was this Not So Silent Night concert with Blink-182 among other bands, which half the students went to, and tonight there's this KISSmas concert put on by our local top 40 station with O-Town and Nelly Furtado and stuff that a lot of people planned on going to. It's like the school WANTS everyone to be grounded so they can't go to any of this stuff. So anyway, this thing comes, right? All my grades were good as in A's and B's EXCEPT French IV and Algebra II (I have D's in both at the present). Now let it be known that I had the same French teacher last year for III. All the students HATE her. Her class is impossible. I told my mom repeatedly that I didn't want to take IV because my teacher is the ONLY IV teacher, and also because you only have to go up to French III to get an Honors Diploma at my h.s. But my mom made me sign up for it, and wouldn't let me drop it at the beginning of the year because she didn't want it noted on my transcript. So now I'm getting a D in there because I just DON'T want to be there, in addition to which she gives us tests over French history that everyone fails and could quite frankly care less about. Then she had the nerve to put as a comment on my Interim, "Comes to class unprepared and displays poor work habits." Maybe I hate the class, but I at least have the decency to do my homework and bring my supplies with me each day. I AM SO MAD!!!!!!!!! Now for Algebra II. I have always hated math. Numbers slip right by me. And to make things worse, I had the same teacher for Algebra I. I hate the way he explains stuff. He goes too fast and then when you ask him a question he makes you feel like an idiot. I liked Geometry because I had a good teacher who explained stuff well, so I always managed to get B's in there. But Algebra is so much harder for some reason. I am totally lost as of right now, and I have no idea how to do anything we've been talking about lately. I am so frustrated. Maybe I'm just a retard. But whatever. My other grades: Honors (advanced) Chemistry: B. No comment. But science has always been my strength, which is why I am in Honors. My teacher is an ex-college prof with a Ph.D. which is AWESOME because at least he knows what he's talking about, unlike some other teachers at our school who shall remain unmentioned... English: B. My teacher's comment was, "It is a pleasure to have your child in class." Band: A. Comment--"Comes to class prepared and ready to work." Journalism I: A. My teacher said, "Follows instructions and completes assignments." This is by FAR my favorite class this year. A.P. (college-level) U.S. History: B. My teacher said, "Student exerts much effort to do well in this class." I'm pretty proud of this one considering it's a college-freshman level course. I got an A on a paper in there last week! Go me! LoL OK, I'm done complaining now...hope I didn't annoy too many people. :o) _.-^Gina^-._ >> To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
