Well...(I know Scott, I promised not to fight about it)  it's not a direct quote saying it's about Jagger.  It says:

Creed vocalist-songwriter Scott Stapp told LAUNCH about the concept behind "Sacrifice," which was inspired by the birth of his son, Jagger. He talked about how the event broadened his awareness, and made him realize the sacrifices he would make for his son.

Then it talks about how Jagger expanded Stapp's awareness about life.  It could've been taken out of context.  I don't see it either.  Not that my interpretation is necessarily true, it just doesn't seem to make sense that it was about his son.  Just MHO.

I agree with you Jen...I can see how the birth of Jagger would have caused him to look back on his life and think about what will be left behind...but I cannot see how the song could be about Jagger.
