However, we tried helping my dad load XP and his modem is incompatible.. so we were going to lend him MY modem which isn't being used because we have ADSL to see if it was just HIS modem, or something else wrong. Then we were going to buy him a newer modem that IS specifically XP compatible. As for Easy CD Creator 5.. I have that installed on the C drive with Win 98.. haven't tried it with the D drive and XP yet. I like that you have the option of which partition to run as an operating system. Genius. :) ~Kristin "We may rise and fall, But in the end, We'll meet our fate together.." -----Original Message----- From: Nikki Rau NikNikIsCreedy@AOL.COM Sent: Sun, 2 Dec 2001 20:42:36 EST To: CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM Subject: Re: NCR - computer question In a message dated 12/2/2001 6:16:32 PM Central Standard Time, creedtalk@LISTS.DEBBIR.COM writes: > > that's the least of your problems. > > wait until 30 days from now when xp won't boot because you haven't > activated it. or when one of you needs the disk after a failure and the > other person has it. > > BTW, i'm running xp one one of my break/fix boxes and use norton and easy > cd creater (the free version) so i blame your hardware. > I don't have XP on my computer anymore, I uninstalled it and went back to ME. And as far as I know there is nothing wrong with my hardware. When XP was setting up it ran a compatibility test, and it listed that..Norton was not compatible with XP, and I have the newest version of Norton BTW, and that I would have to upgrade to a new version of Easy CD Creator because the version I had wasn't compatible. The person I borrowed XP from had the same problems with his Norton and Easy CD Creator as well. ~Nikki~ ___________________________________________________________________________ Visit http://www.visto.com.
