No, they charge more than the cost of a stamp for mail....it's a handling charge.  There's also building facility charges, and service charges.....all sorts of little things.  For instance....I'm buying 3 tickets for the BHC/Bush show.  These tickets cost $31.50 base prices.  The following is the Ticketmaster total costs:

Tix Qty  3
Face Value 31.50
Ticketmaster Convenience Charge  4.25
Building Facility Charge   1.00
Subtotal: 110.25
Ticketmaster Handling Charge: 3.50
Total Charge: 113.75

That's for standard mail....if you need them UPS'ed 2 day delivery, it's $19.50
For Saturday delivery  it's $25.00

Of course, if you pick them up at a ticketmaster outlet, there's no mailing fee, but there is a still a handling charge.

Oh....and definitely get your F11 cd's back out....not because you respect the band for their stand against high ticket prices, but because they freaking ROCK!

I'll have to pull out my F11 album. For them to do cancel a tour. Then
rescedule another tour, at small venues. I really have to admire the band.
Out of more curiousity. How much of the added 7 to 10 dollars is for
mailing? I'd figure that it would be 34 cents or whatever a regular
letter costs now.
I buy the tickets at the Kroger counter (grocery store service desk). So
I was hoping that it was 5 dollars to mail the tickets. 2 to 5 dollars
sounds more affordable.
