But other than running illegal and expiring in 30 days. You might have opened up the door for M$ to go after you and your friend for piracy. I doubt that they would have. But I'd not open up any doors. When it comes to windows. Shut down windows and use another operating system. It's free and no one comes after you. I recommend Mandrake. But I use Redhat's version of Linux. Just kidding - Stay with ME and the manufacturer's provided setup disks.
