I don't think $42.50 is an outrageous amount of money to pay for seeing Creed now. (although the ticketmaster rape charges will skyrocket the price). What you have to understand is now that they're so huge, they have to play bigger stadiums to accomdate all the fans...bigger stadiums charge the bands more....they set the prices, not the bands. Also, with bigger stadiums comes much more security, and the cost of security also brings up the price of the ticket. And don't be expecting to buy T-shirts for $20.00 anymore....I'm sure they'll lean more towards the $35-40 price range this time around.
