Lee >From: Mike > >i dunno about everyone else, but im loving this album. I have listened to >it all week and i just love it more and more. the biggest thing for me is >taht i dont hate any songs on it. ok, well maybe Freedom Fighter, but thtas >just because i cant really get into the flow of the chorus. >anyways, i think that it is a real progression for Creed. It follows the >over all design that Creed has used in the past 2 albums: start heavy and >end peaceful. The songs are so much more dynamic and intense. Scott's >lyrics have gotten better and u can see that he is looking at more of the >grand scheme of things and the songs have a much more ambigious message to >them. The music supplied by Flip and Mark is amazing. Mark pulling double >time on bass and guitar honetly scared me at first, but its a step above >his previous playing. i think a major point of this album is Mark showing >how good he really is. the arrangements are free and solid and they give >the lyrics a overdrive to make thier point felt inside the listener. Flip >goes over time on the drums and makes his presence known. >as for my favs: im going with Stand With Me, Weathered, and Signs. To me, >these are what Creed is, they have a heavy sound and meaning where u hear >it in your ears and u feel it in your soul. >I would now like to address some alligations of Creed "selling out" or >"going soft". Honestly, i think that is bullshit. I can't understand why we >are bashing the band becuase they have reached a point of somewhat >happiness and thier songs show that. If u are actually listening to the >album, its not pop...it doesnt even come concivably close. If some feel >that some songs will embrassed by people who listen to pop, i think that >its more that the songs are reaching more people and thats a great thing. >Are yor afraid of that or something? >If anything, with Weathered; i feel that Creed will finally get the credit >they so deserve. Creed is one of the greatest rock bands in the world and >everyday increases thier hold and thier stature. But, they remain to be 3 >humble guys who constantly give us [the fans] credit for it. But >in-conclusion, My Own Prison and Human Clay were simply little peaks at >their potential and even then, they blew people away. Weathered is a work >of art by far the best Creed has done >anyone care to agree or agree to dissagree? ( i dont mind disagreements, >but if u are going to, alteast give an educated and good argument. if not, >there really is no point.) > >peace out and keep rockin, > >Mike _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss list, visit: http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp
