Well, I admit that the lyrics (minus the "FUCK SHIT ASSHOLE" part he insisted on adding in when playing live) to the new album sounded good enough that I wanted to check it out.  And as I said before, I'll still be a fan of DOTN, and will still listen to their music... I just can't see myself paying to see them live again... well, unless there's a better band headlining like at the last show (AP Kicks ass, no other way to look at it).  In my opinion, DOTN just comes across as a band that looses it's luster in a live environment.  All studio.  But again, that's just my own opinion.

I've seen the wicked fruit of your vine, Destroy the man who lacks a strong mind
Human pride sings a vengeful song Inspired by the times you've been walked on
My stage is shared by many millions, Who lift their hands up high because they feel this
We are one We are strong, The more you hold us down the more we press on
What if you did? What if you lied? What if I avenge? What if eye for an eye?

Are you kidding me??  Holy hell....I NEVER heard him say anything like that....never even saw him pay any attention to the groupies.  Wow....I mean, I've seen him be a drunken asshole....rude, arrogant, but nothing like that....and when he's sober, he's kinda shy...I've also seen him being a fun drunk too.  But regardless....I've heard him create some magnificent music, and that's why I love seeing the band!

When I saw them at XFest this past summer, I was incredibly offended.  Travis actually pointed out an audience member, and while she WAS incredibly hot, she sure didn't need to be told in front of 16,000 people that he would "definitely be fucking her up the ass tonight".  I'm a MAN, and that offended me enough to get up and leave.
