================================================ Subject: Re: Creed on MTV From: "Marc Levitt" To: Date: Tue 6 Nov 2001 02:02:10 -0500 ================================================ i then have to rephrase my criticism. corporate marketing is bullshit. as with metallica, all the other bands i mentioned worked tirelessly for years to do what ad-wizards can pull off in a flash. that indicates a couple things to me. one is that those bands worked really, really hard. another is that it wasn't until they received the added boost from corporate marketing that they gained widespread popularity. that indicates to me that even the greatest band in the world won't garner much attention without the help of corporate promotion. it also says that even bad bands can become popular if they're properly marketed. on 11/6/01 1:45 AM, Keith P.
