Hey Leigh....sounds like you had an incredible time at the Sevendust show!  I'm sorry your friend couldn't make it, but I think you made out better in the long run....lol!

So cool that you have the very first autographed copy of the new cd....again, I'm terribly envious...hehe!

The Stereomud show was great....but Cory was kind of ill...he didn't show up out in the crowd after the show, but Erik was there, and the DP guys.  We had a couple of drinks with Stevie, then waited for Distrubed to come out...got too cold doing that and left.  I'm thinking of going to the Toronto show next week, but I hate that 4 hour drive on a worknight, so it's doubtful.  That's the only show left that's close to me...and after this tour, they leave for the UK.  I might just have to wait until the spring headlinging tour to see DP again.

On a good note though, Erik said Stereomud with definitely be touring with Sevendust again soon!!  :)

Hey guys!
Well, I had a great day yesterday.  I left NYC around noon to meet a friend of mine from Boston in Hartford for the 7Dust show.  On my way, I got a call from him saying he had a car accident leaving Boston and wouldn't make it.  He was okay, but his car was pretty messed up.  So, I was there so early with nothing to do...we were supposed to hang out and go to dinner and get a couple of drinks before the show.  So, I cruised by where the venue was just so I would know where to go later and to see if the box office was open yet.  I met this really cool girl whose boyfriend works for the radio station sponsoring the show.  She and I hung out for a while and they let us go on in for the little meet and greet with the radio station employees.  When Lajon saw me, he was like, "What the hell are you doing in CT??"  I hadn't seen him in a while and he didn't know I had moved to NYC.   It was so good to get to hang out with them for a bit...I hadn't done that since the early days in ATL when they were just playing locally.  I wish you could have seen their faces...especially Morgan...when I told them the story about buying Animosity in a used CD store in downtown Manhattan.  It's punched out where the barcode is so it had to have come from someone with their label TVT.  So, needless to say they were ready to raise hell because someone from their own label is walking around NYC with a box of albums selling them to used CD stores.  What is pretty cool is that they said I'm the first fan they've talked to that has a copy of it and has listened to it...Mine is their first one to autograph!  I told Lajon I'd give him a dollar for the royalties he'd miss out on from my disc...and they all just laughed.  Anyway, they are in NYC for the next 3 days and they'll be on Conan O'Brian on Wed night.  They told me their hotel and I've got a cell phone number to call to hang out.  :)  So, if I end up chillin' with them this week, I'll let you guys know.
As far as the live show...They absolutely kicked ass.  This was their last headlining date before joining Fuel on the road.  So, they played their asses off.  All the songs on the new album are INCREDIBLE.  Aaron Lewis sings harmony on one song called Follow.  Clint sings lead in one.  There is a song called Trust that I can't stop listening too.   They played it last night and it was amazing.  You guys have got to check this album out.
Okay...so that's all.  I got home so late...it's a 2 hr drive and the show wasn't over until 12...and I had to be up for work at 6...so, I'm pretty damn exhausted.

Leigh

PS...V-how was Cory's band last night???
