I'm not sure if you know about this Marc, but at the beginning Creed was a radio band, MTV didn't want to play their videos. Then VH-1 started to play them, basically that's how it all started. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this whole big thing videos started with "Higher" video. I'm even amazed too see MTV want to air "making the videos" and Creed want to be there, now, when they are so big,in my opinion they don't need it that much now. MTV knows what's going on (*marketing*) too...

That's not my point.  The larger critique aims at the tendency towards the
televisation of music.  Image, image, image.  I thought this music was
wonderful because it touched you folks.  Now things are getting a bit
clearer.  Marketing plays as much a role as anything in the affinity for
Creed.  And man do they have great promoters.
