Okay, first I agree with Nikki, then I make nice with V, and now I'm agreeing with Mad (despite my already having engaged Marc in a discussion of music).  So what I want to know is WHO SLIPPED ME THE MICKEY?  Good thing I still have Jim to harass, or I'd REALLY be feeling deprived!

BTW <he says as he reverts back to form>, since when does this list do over 100 posts a day?  I make extensive use of folders and Mail Rules, and have yet to even come close to 100 in my Creed folder, and I'm on THREE Creed discussion lists.

Up until now I have managed to steer clear of your posts which are clearly intended to incite the members of this list.  Your posts to date have been so clear in their intent, that I thought it almost redundant to reply in the manner which you obviously were looking for.  However, this post, in which you use all kinds of big words and cite Christian scholars and the like is not so transparent.  I cannot imagine why an obviously intelligent person like yourself would join a discussion group on Creed simply to bash the band.  Since your addy end with "brown.edu", I must believe that you truly intend Brown University.  My guess would be that you are a psychology student and that you are conducting some form of study, using this list and its responses as your "case".  Brown is an outstanding school and extremely difficult to get in, even if you really are an orphan as you claim to be.

If you do not like Creed and you feel that their music and lyrics are uninspiring, that is certainly your prerogative.  You are entitled to your opinion.  For example, you mention Bob Dylan and Tom Petty in your post.  Although I agree that Dylan was a genius at writing lyrics, in fact, I think they mirrored and at the same time, inspired a generation, I feel he should have left the singing to someone else.  His voice grates on me...ditto with Tom Petty.  This is of course my opinion and millions of people disagree with me.  But, the point is, I am entitled to my opinion. However, I am not psychotic enough, nor do I have enough time to waste, that I would join a Bob Dylan or Tom Petty Discussion List that generates upwards of 100 posts a day simply to bash these musicians.

I am not going to go into the many reasons that I feel your comments on Creed were off base.  Obviously, you do not agree with those of us who joined the List because we really like this band, and nothing I say will change your opinion.  And although everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I really wish you would take it somewhere else.

BTW...good luck on your case study.
