Mears" To: Date: Sun 4 Nov 2001 12:36:39 -0500 ================================================ Why would you oppose their stand against Napster? This is not an attempt to start that nasty debate, I am genuinely curious as to ANYONE'S reasoning on that issue. I'd say it's pretty obvious which side of the issue I stand behind. Personally, I think the damage to their fan base was FAR less than many people would like to think. The TRUE Metallica fan knows why they did it, and has nothing but respect for their efforts. Those who feel cheated by the lawsuit weren't TRUE fans to begin with, and as such won't hurt the fan base. Efforts on the current album are still on hold while James gets back to the business of being a human being with an addiction. I personally wish him continued good luck in those efforts, and am willing to wait ANY amount of time he and the band need to establish a healthy recovery for all parties. ----- Original Message ----- > I would have fit in the pre-reload group of Metallica fans.
