Ah yes, then I suppose I did misunderstand your point...I agree, band members most likely would NOT give a rats ass about all the petty arguing...hell I don't give a rat's ass...and I'm nobody!  But, if it were me, checking in on my own band's list, I'd occasionaly subscribe to the digest....scan it quickly for possible Creed related topics, and dismiss the rest of it.

I think you're taking my remarks somewhat out of context.  I don't mean to imply that they shouldn't check either lists or BB's to gauge fan reaction.  I'm saying that I can't see a reason for them to care about things like the petty arguments that arise so frequently, which happens on ALL lists that I'm a part of (hasn't happened on mine yet, but I hold no illusions that it WON'T happen when/if membership ever takes off).  Every list will have its trolls, and every list will have disagreements, because that's human nature, and it's what makes being on a list interesting, IMHO.  If EVERY member of a list simply agreed with one another, there would be no point in having the list.

And when it comes right down to it, what I REALLY mean to say is that I am opposed to a member of a list censoring his/her remarks on ANY issue simply because there's a chance that someone "important" (i.e. band member, sports star, etc.) MIGHT drop in to see what's going on.  I have NO problem with ANYONE taking aim at my opinions on pretty much any subject, and despite my penchant for trolling, I AM capable of holding an intelligent, NON-trolling discussion.
