Are you serious that some don't actually realize why you use kthulu in your addy?  I'm amazingly shocked by this... of course, I also had no clue that it was from Lovecraft, but since I'm not near as big of a book fan as Tara is, I'm also not overly surprised that I didn't know this.  *shrug*

I've seen the wicked fruit of your vine, Destroy the man who lacks a strong mind
Human pride sings a vengeful song Inspired by the times you've been walked on
My stage is shared by many millions, Who lift their hands up high because they feel this
We are one We are strong, The more you hold us down the more we press on
What if you did? What if you lied? What if I avenge? What if eye for an eye?

You're one of a VERY few who actually figure out what the addy means (it's also a tribute to H.P. Lovecraft, BTW), and I agree with your statement wholeheartedly.

Yeah, that makes sense, and as I posted originally, the members of Metallica, whether they actually caught the "hate messages" themselves or were just told about it, did just that, and then went on record opposing the hate.  It's no secret that I'm about as big a Metallica fan as is possible to be, but even if I hated them, I'd admire them for stopping the hate.  That was just pure class, and if Scott and Co. were to do something similar (were it ever necessary), I'd admire them just as much.

A Met fan huh?  lol...I guess the e-mail address attests to that!  That's cool that they posted against the hate...it was well directed, but it would be of equal class if a bandmember were to post against the 'general' hate that seems to overtake most bulletin boards.
