Actually, Mad and I got into a fairly heated discussion about this very subject this past summer.  I have LONG believed (and have said as much here) that I can see no reason for ANY member of ANY band to really care WHAT is said on a list that bears their name.  The one exception would be if people were inciting or threatening violence, and a perfect example of what I mean can be found on www.metallica.com.  In light of the terrorist attacks, there were some downright sickening posts on their official BB, which were removed, and which drew a response from the band declaring both Metallica.com and Metclub.com "hate-free zones".

I'm going to ask him what he thinks of the state of the discussion list that bears his band's name.

Probably the same thing he thinks of the bulletin board.  In all the years I was on the list, there was only ONE time that was a verified post by Stapp...so I doubt he spends much time reading it.  In fact, I asked him once if he ever read it...that was almost two years ago...he said no, but he'd check it out...I advised him against it....lol...because as much as people complain about it's content now, the fact remains, it's always been this way!
