But the fact, that it means something totally different to you - means - that you care about the meaning just a little and you were thinking about it. (*to mean* my new favorite word,lol)
 
Anyway for a lot of people (including me) lyrics are almost as much important as music. Sometimes you can really find out some cool meanings:), not necessarly what Scott thought when he wrote this, but how others feel it and what they think.

Personally, I don't CARE about the meaning of this, or any OTHER song.
An example of WHY I don't care is Metallica's "Fade to Black".  I KNOW
what James' meaning to the song was, but it means something TOTALLY
different to me, and quite frankly, discussing the meanings of songs is
boring the SHIT out of me.

The reason that I think the song is about seclusion and escaping the
everpresent infiltration into thier personal lives is that there was
some news that talked about Scott already have made a song about it.

If you can retrieve some of the messages related to that issue. It would
be clear to the less imaginative also.

What is your opinion about the songs meaning?
