They have less rehearsal time, and a much smaller stage which means less equipment. Most of the bands that I'd watch on SNL are headlining bands that play big venues. For their technicians to have to adjust the amplification and structure of the sound for (basically) a small room is no easy feat. AND they have absolutely no warm up. The songs they generally perform on SNL are not the ones that are the first when they play a full set in order. The set lists are designed for the band to warm up with some songs, hit their stride for others, and then burn thru the end of the set with the last few and the encore songs. SNL goes against the grain in just about every sense. -----Original Message----- From: Creed Discussion List [mailto:CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM] On Behalf Of Keith P. And not all the musical guests have sucked either, but generally, the performances on SNL are, IMO, not nearly as good as any other performance from most bands.
