Morals and this issue go hand in hand to me. I'm not arguing here and if it was meant to be a joke that's a little different.  Yeah, I do take offense when someone groups me with a class of people who are known for terrorist activity, inhumane killing and least of all hate.  I'm sure you would feel the same way if I made some stupid comment about the gay population or you being the cause of the towers being bombed or something equally ridiculous, joke or not.  So are you grouping homosexuals in the same area as terrorists?  Are you still thinking it's a mental illness?  Christians don't advocate killing, or at least the ones I know do not.  Christians use the Bible, correct?  Leviticus 20:13.  Oh... and just two more words on that... "The Crusades".
For two comments that I made I've been classified as a bad mother,  being a stupid person for being religious, if I am religious then i wasn't being a  Christian ( which believe me,I am),  someone who blames god for people being ill and takes it out on the poor people who are afflicted, against inter-racial marriages, etc.  Again... is this saying that a homosexual is mentally ill?  This is just one more to ad to the list.  It doesn't bother me to be disagreed with just blamed for crap that you have no clue about.  I think you freedom loving and open minded people should really think about how narrow minded  your own comments can be.

I have been looking into this gay thing even further since all this has started.  In clinical studys it has been shown that there are more than one factor involved in someone determining they are gay.  Some factors are genetics and environmental conditions done on identical and fraternal twins.  Another interesting part that has come up in one study is that the way someone is raised (smothered or ignored) has a lot to do with it but there are exceptions to every rule.  Thats why its so hard to pin down.  If this is the case then at least some cases aren't merely something that happens but its decided.  Maybe others are just more prone to being gay?  I still believe it is disgusting and there may be more to the mental/brain factor.  I have known a local psychiatrist for years and he agrees. .
This will be the last time I comment on this issue.  I've taken up to much or my time with it already.
