What I'd like to know is what is the scientific excuse for > Bisexuals? Can't be born like that can you? > So does this mean that alcoholism isn't genetic either, and that those of us afflicted with it are just copping out? This is an awkward analogy, because, genetic or not, ALCOHOLISM = DISEASE. But even though it's a disease, and even if a person is predisposed to contract it because of genetics, I still had to CHOOSE to drink and drug. Once I DID choose that, it was pretty much a foregone conclusion that I would end up an alcoholic/addict, and that's where your own logic falls on its face. As I've mentioned, I've known gay people all my life, and some have been very good friends to me. I've talked to them extensively about this very issue, and they've all told me the same thing: They can no more control the fact that they're gay than I can control the fact that I'm an alcoholic/addict. Is that conclusive proof? Of course not. But coupled with what we know through science, I'd say it's very CONVINCING evidence that homosexuality is NOT a choice.
