I was listening to the radio a few years back and heard WTLF, not knowing then it was Creed. Then, I guess a little while later I heard MOP on the radio and found out who they were then. I figured they were worth listening to and went to the nearest music store to preview it (since the one close to me had those headphones and places where you could stick the cd in to preview the tracks). I heard WTLF again, and loved the songs. As soon as I bought it I was hooked. Now for the list. I didn't know about the creedlist until pretty recent times when a friend told me about it. He said he had subscribed briefly and told me I should check it out. So I joined. There are actually a couple reasons why I joined the list. One, because I wanted to talk to others and maybe find out more than I could through other means. Two, to just talk to others with the same interest. And three, I really needed a different perspective on things. I had gone through something a little earlier in my life that through my views out of line. This (and other things) helped change them a little. Even though arguments about religion (again) were going on then, and about how to keep everything creed-related (again) was being discussed, it was (is) really great to hear everyone's side of it. I think that's how I was hooked. :) On Sun, 14 Oct 2001 07:00:11 +0000 creedyrn@ATT.NET writes: > i'll be the first to answer...like jess, i first heard > creed when 'higher' was climbing up the hit > list...didn't know who the hell they were, *gasp* > thought they sounded like pearl jam...my husband went > out to buy their cd for me, and ended up buying > MOP...thank god! because i got to know who they really > were...i still prefer MOP to HC, but it all depends on > my mood...got to see them live the second time they > played cleveland, their 'fan appreciation' show, since > scott was ailing the first time they played here...as > i've mentioned before, brett was playing bass for them > then...i have never in my life been to a show like > theirs...and i have been tomany a concert in my life...i > was blown away...every single song, the entire crowd was > on their feet, singing louder than scott...every song, > every word...and that's my creed story...i got on the > list right when i got my puter, and heard them...and > have been here since...with a short hiatus...and as long > as they keep doing what they do, i'll be here...take > that as you will...i'm no v, but i'll be the list mom as > long as the need is there... > Lee > > -- > ~~they laugh at us because we're > different; we laugh at them > because they're all the > same~~Drowning Pool > ~~Be careful what you learn, > sometimes knowing burns~~Virgos > Merlot > > To unsubscribe or change your preferences for the Creed-Discuss > list, visit: > http://www.winduplist.com/ls/discuss/form.asp > ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
