My story is basically just like yours Jess, except for I don't write poetry:) But, really, since that I started to listen to Creed, my attention to the music (instruments) and the lyrics has became much bigger than before, I've started to learn listening music (I guess this doesn't sound like gramatically correct, lol).I was hooked up after hearing "Higher". "What if" knocked me out, even though I haven't listened to rock music that much back then! They can write not only interesting and deep lyrics, but also nice and haunted melodies, that's somewhat the key to their success I believe.Even though the lyrics may be little "dark", you can still find an optimism there, at least I feel it that way. Jess, in reply to the other post - I like the positive "vibration":) in new song and don't have anything against possitive message. It can be an interesting change. I just wanted to say some people prefer depressing music, I'm an optimist, can't listen to it too much :)

Well, since I've pretty much summed up my story in a previous post, I'll just add a little something here.  I have always been into music, but my passion for music had begun to fade.  Sure I still enjoyed listening to music, but it didn't really take on much meaning for me.  When I discovered Creed, their music awakened something in me.  I once again started to find meaning in music, I was able to appreciate the way the musicians played their instruments. Well actually what really caught my attention was the way Mark played guitar on Higher, that's when i decided to pay attention to the song.  Well anyway, not only was my appreciation for music renewed, but my appreciation for the art of the written word.  I have been writing since a very young age, but for awhile, up until the point I discovered Creed, I had lost my drive to write.  I noticed that around the same time I started listening to Creed, I started writing my poetry again.  I dunno if you can count this as one of those "Creed changed my life moments" but they really made an impact on me and in turn have made me look at things a lot differently.  Oh and as to why I joined the list, no one I knew was talking about Creed or their music or anything, a lot of people didn't even know who they were. So I decided to join this list to talk to other Creed fans, and catch up on all the stuff I had missed. Well I'm sorry to bore you all with my story, but blame Lee, she brought it up lol
