Hi Laura, welcome to the list. Yes, Scott said the song was inspired by Jagger's birth. Here's the cut from the Launch article:
Creed vocalist-songwriter Scott Stapp told LAUNCH about the concept behind "Sacrifice," which was inspired by the birth of his son, Jagger. He talked about how the event broadened his awareness, and made him realize the sacrifices he would make for his son.

"The world is bigger than just me now," he said. "Before I was a daddy, I think, especially being a daddy in my twenties, in my early twenties, you're pretty selfish in your mid-twenties and early twenties. And a lot of people aren't at that time thinking about the grand scheme of things and thinking about what's going to be left behind, or what kind of legacy they're leaving behind, or how they're affecting people in their lives. You're just thinking about what you're going to do that day, or what you're going to do next week, or that job you're trying to get, or what your dreams are. It's about you. At least it was for me."

hey all, I think I missed something, Scott did say what the song was about?  Sorry if you've been over this, but could someone fill me in and tell me what it's about?  I'm the curious type and I would have been ok if they didn't tell, but now since they did, I want to know! :)  Thanks a lot.
