I hope that there are a lot of people that enjoy the new song. I liked My Own Prison, TWIMC, Inside Us All, In America and songs from Creed along those lines. In my early years of listening to music. (Late 70's). I liked a lot of mellow bands. Like Gerry Rafferty, Al Stewart, Alan Parsons Project, Steve Miller Band, Boston, Foreigner, REO Speedwagon. Along with harder bands that were set far apart from the existing bands of the time. With AC/DC being my lead band "Long Way To The Top (If you want to Rock and roll. In the 90's. I mainly found appeal in songs from bands like Bush, STP, Nirvana, Seven Mary Three, Live and bands along those lines. Therefore, I am more interested in songs along those sound lines. But the song "My Sacrifice" does not seem to be a song that I find real appealing. I like most Classic Rock bands and most bands during the 80's. But in the 90's. They were bands that are dynamic and seem to blend all of their styles well. Music in the 2000's and beyond mostly annoys me. Except for Staind, Cold,Tool, Nickleback, Stereomudd and bands that I started to listen to earlier (Live, 7M3, Creed) I guess happy music with low dynamics is not what I'm looking for. Though, I realize that the money is in the mainstream listeners. So the concentration will most likely be toward satisfying this market of listeners. As Scott pointed out. the bass lines are rather "la, la, la". With no really great achievements in this area. I hope next weeks selection is more to what I am looking for in music from Creed. I'm not totally against mainstream music. I liked the album from Dexter Freebish that was mellow, but compelling. I also enjoyed music from Tracy Chapman. I thought that it was an excellent sounding album. I hope that I got across what I'm looking for. If not from words. The references to other bands that I like.
