================================================ Subject: Re: this is NOT a hoax...please read From: "]\\[][G}{T§TÖ®]v[" To: Date: Wed 3 Oct 2001 22:00:56 -0400 ================================================ Well Kevin, You weren't around here during the elections... another Nostradamus quote came up... something along the lines of the village idiot getting to rule... and not saying anything bad about the people on the list that believed it was a true quote, as I managed to get it a good 20 or 30 times before someone here even posted it. Or those classics... "Forward this to everyone in your address book, and receive a free mailed to you within a week". No attachment to the e-mail to verify that it's been forwarded... nor anything attached that would send a copy of it back to the company that is supposedly offering the item, letting them know you forwarded it... and the best, how in the hell would the company know where to send the free item you supposedly just earned??? I figure if this was true, Nokia would be out of phones by now, and MSN's competing with AOL would make them both out of money (the "Big Willie will send you a $100 check if you forward this mail to 30 people"). Did you ever get the one about the woman and the lobster, with a couple thousand baby shrimp growing in her? Or the whole "The Blair Witch Project was a true documentary". Or the one I'm really into right now is the one that says a cursed Mummy was responsible for the sinking of the Titanic (you should read this one Kevin... it's long, but a good ghost story... http://www.snopes.com/horrors/ghosts/mummy.htm ). And to Erik... that's actually more or less the one that we are discussing now... if you receive a envelope in the mail from the Klingerman (or a variation) Foundation, it contains a blue sponge, and will infect you with a killing disease. We were trying to convince a member here that it's untrue, but some people just refuse to listen to logic. All because she heard about it from her mom, who heard about it from a Sheriff, who heard about it in his e-mail. And since I haven't done so yet, welcome to the list. And don't worry, things will pick up REAL soon around here... so sit tight and enjoy the ride (I suggest holding onto something, and wearing thick rubber gloves when you go to get your mail from now on... *smirk*). ¤]\[][G}{T§TÖ®]v[¤ http://www.geocities.com/npicrash NightStorm_Draco_@hotmail.com Admin@AmericanPearlFan.cjb.net NightStorm@isyourgod.cjb.net I've seen the wicked fruit of your vine, Destroy the man who lacks a strong mind Human pride sings a vengeful song Inspired by the times you've been walked on My stage is shared by many millions, Who lift their hands up high because they feel this We are one We are strong, The more you hold us down the more we press on What if you did?
