I like Pearl Jam, and thought they were quite good in concert, but I like Creed much more. To me, the meanings and thoughts behind Creed's lyrics are much deeper than many of Pearl Jams... I guess I like the themes better. And I never actually thought of Creed as a grunge band... I guess the way I see it, the only "real" grunge bands are those that came around in the early to mid 90's. (I don't know the exact years they came out, but it was when I was in high school, so it must have been around that time). A lot of people seem to see a comparison between the voices of Scott Stapp and Ed Vedder, but the only real similarity I see is that they're both baritones. In my own opinion again, Ed Vedder has a "gruffer" style of singing, where Scott Stapp has a bit smoother of a voice (in most songs, at least). Just my thoughts.
