================================================ Subject: Flags From: "~Kristin ~" To: Date: Tue 18 Sep 2001 08:36:22 -0700 ================================================ Hi Lee and the rest of the list :) I just wanted to post a little and say that our community seems to be displaying a lot of flags which I am very proud of. We live in an apartment building on the first floor so we don't have a balcony to display a flag, but I have a smaller 18x22 flag that my dad bought for us last week displayed on the inside of our sliding glass door, draped along the window. On Friday they also lined the sidewalk in front of a car dealership right by our building with a few hundred small flags stuck in the ground all the way around the block. I'm suprised they are all still standing there. Seems like there are too many flag vandals these days. I never know if it's someone who is "anti-flag" or if they are just too lazy to buy their own or what, but I always hear about someone's flag being stolen all the time. At work last Friday the director of the Zoo dug out a box of flags and buttons for us to wear. He put a little flag on everyone's corkboard on the outside of their office door, and we also put up two flags in the windows here in the office and at the front gate. We are wearing 1" flag pins and also buttons which are red white and blue that say "Proud to be an American", "Take pride in our Country", "God Bless the USA".. the usual stuff. Anyhow, thought I would share what I see happening in our community. Thanks for sharing your's.. I noticed too that hardly anyone drove with their lights on all day on Friday as was suggested by the President. Did anyone else hear that or was I dreaming it?? Take care all.. hope everyone is well.. ~Kristin "We may rise and fall, But in the end, We'll meet our fate together.." -----Original Message----- From: creedyrn@ATT.NET Sent: Tue, 18 Sep 2001 05:52:16 +0000 To: CREED-DISCUSS@WINDUPLIST.COM Subject: Re: Has the band posted before? wonder how it is elsewhere, fellow listers?
