actually from what i understand afghanistan does not have the technological capabilities of nuclear weapons so i hope this eases your mind a bit. All of the countries that are allied with nato are with us and that inludes most of everyone that does have nuclear capabilites so i dont think there is any need to worry. Afghanisatan is so small a country that thier threats are meaningless to us.
